Had what we didn't know, was our last appointment with the fertility clinic today. She dropped us like a bad habit and we were happy to oblige :) Our ultrasound today showed the baby healthy, with a heartbeat of 169 bpm, and measuring 4.03cm. She did mention that she won't be doing the IPS which leaves me high and dry because she said she would. By the time we get to see Dr. Kingdom I will be 12+ weeks so I'm not sure how they'll squeeze in IPS. I think I'll just get it through our family doctor again.

Anywho I am just so glad that baby is well. We rented a doppler 2 weeks ago and still have not been able to find the heartbeat so I was getting a bit worried. But now I know it's all okay and the stupid doppler just can't get past my belly fat.

Speaking of belly fat. I was at Mr. Sub today picking up a sammich for A and the lady who runs the business was making small talk with me. She then started talking about caffeine and cravings and how she got off mat leave recently. Then she blatantly says "you're pregnant right? and I was just so shocked I probably turned every shade of red before turning purple. I said "yeah how can you tell" and she said "oh sometimes you can tell these things" -- as she's staring at my belly. She said "dont' worry I looked like you up until I was 6 months"...yikes. The silly thing is, I didn't think my belly grew at all...I think it looks the same as always.

Which makes me contemplate a tummy tuck after all this child bearing is done :)

I'm a bit flattered but self conscious at the same time. :)
